Good news for Filipino travelers, TAIWAN is still VISA FREE until 2025!!!

Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said in a statement that the decision was made in line with their efforts to promote the New Southbound Policy (NSP).
August 1, 2024 is the original deadline for the visa-free entry, but they have already extended it for Filipinos up to July 31, 2025. The extension also applies for those with passports from Thailand and Brunei.
Tourist can visit Taiwan for up to 14 straight days.
However, said tourist must have a valid passport with validity of 6 months before time of entry. They must also present a return or onward plane ticket.
Tourist might be asked to show proof of accommodation and travel funds as part of the immigration process!!!
But over all, this is good news for all of us, for we can get to enjoy great tasting Taiwanese street food, get to see great sites such as Jiufen and experience festivities during the Lantern and Dragon Boat Festivals.
